OutR.E.A.Ch. Trips

Are You Ready to Take Your Skills to the Next Level?

OutR.E.A.Ch. Trips are a reciprocal exchange. You lend your knowledge and skills to children, parents and teachers that deal with these issues on a day-to-day basis in under-resourced environments. In turn, you develop as a professional and gain an understanding of special needs education in the developing world.

Each of our groups that join us contribute to our mission - providing resources to our designated R.E.A.Ch. Special Needs Hubs which are subsequently shared with more remote regions of the country. You are the catalyst that will help make this change happen.

In your free time, get to know the country, the culture & the people. Take a cooking class, meander through the local markets and dine with a local expert in autism. On the weekend, we'll head out and explore the must-see sites in the area - whether it's spotting the Big 5 on safari in Tanzania or climbing into the foothills of the Himalayas in Nepal.

Professional Exchange

Join like-minded professionals in the field of special education working on projects across the world.

Cultural Immersion

Immerse yourself in the local culture. Learn about local religions, try new foods and meet with interesting professionals from the area.

Venture out to see the must-see sites in the country - whether it's a Himalayan mountain retreat in Nepal or a safari game drive in Tanzania.

A Typical Day

Wake up with a local coffee and fresh breakfast at our guesthouse. Head over to the school for a morning with students and teachers. Lend a hand in the classroom using techniques such as ABA and educate local professionals in some modern methodologies. We'll also get out into the community to conduct parents trainings alongside the staff.

Enjoy lunch alongside students and staff while continuing our projects with the schools and organizations we partner with. Most afternoons, we will get out and explore the local culture - whether it's a cooking lesson with a member of the community, hike to nearby waterfalls or visit to local markets.

Have dinner together at a local restaurant in town. Certain evenings, an expert from the community in special education or a speaker may join us. The rest of the evening is free for you to explore. On the weekends, we will take off to explore the must-see sites, from safaris to mountain retreats.
